“I want this completed yesterday”,

is what the client’s email has to say.

As you look up to the heavens in dismay,

it is just the start of a brand new day.

The description is vague and the requirements new,

summoning your experience, you look for a clue.

*"It would help"*, you think, *"if I just had a crew"*,

But all your buddies are busy just like you.

From the library, a book is fished out,

and across internet forums you dilligently scout.

A 1000 code lines later, its the end of the route,

fingers crossed, you might just win this bout.

The sun is long gone and the sky is dark,

into the review journey your code must embark,

and seek the hallowed reviewer's hallmark.

*"Oh! your alignment is wrong"* is his remark.

Pressing the spacebar like a zombie clerk,

you commit your changes and watch your TL smirk.

The job’s done, yet sleep is still a perk;

And they say it is “all in a day’s work.”
